LEO Hires 100th Employee, A Mark of Exponential Growth

Press Releases

LEO Events is now home base to more than one hundred full-time events professionals. ONE HUNDRED! Founded in 2012, with a tiny but mighty team of 11 full timers, LEO has continued to grow – year after year – to meet the needs of our ever-evolving client roster. What started as a small Destination Management Company in Memphis, TN has evolved into one of the top 20 Corporate Meetings & Events agencies in North America.

Having recently hired our 100th full-time LEO, we’re celebrating this milestone and its implications for the business. Every new LEO lends unique perspective to the team, strengthening our approach to each client project and we’re excited about the next wave of incredible work we’ll be able to execute together.

Officially an Anomaly

“Small businesses” are typically defined as having fewer than 100 employees, which means LEO has officially moved beyond that category. Notably, more than 98% of U.S. businesses have fewer than 100 employees, which puts us in the slim 2% of businesses this size. We’re excited about what this means for the volume and caliber of work our team will be able to execute as we charge ahead.

Growth Across the Board

Since 2022, LEO has experienced unprecedented revenue and employee growth with 510% revenue growth since 2020 and 155% workforce expansion, making us a $100M agency. We credit this success to our unchanging values, quality product, and exceptional client service. We price our work fairly and stand behind it. As a result, 90% of our accounts are evergreen, and two of the brands we collaborate with have been partners for more than 20 consecutive years.

More Space to Make Magic

As our team grows, so do our offices. In fact, there are big things happening both in Nashville and Chattanooga as we update and expand our office spaces to accommodate the continual growth. The Chattanooga office, housed in a beautifully renewed historic building in the city’s Southside district, is expanding to occupy a second floor with an impressive 34 new workspaces. Construction and build out is set to conclude within weeks, and the team is thrilled to begin use of the16,000+ square-foot space shortly thereafter.

The Nashville team will also soon occupy a new office space in Hillsboro Village, which is currently undergoing renovations. Previously owned by recording artist Toby Keith, the three-floor space will soon house 40 individual workspaces across two floors, with the top floor serving as a gathering space.

In-House Virtual Production Studio, Coming Soon

Nashville’s building upgrade will also play host to a new virtual production studio managed by the LEO media team. In the works for some time, this strategic in-house studio addition positions LEO to better serve our clients while adding inherent value to the business. Not only does it broaden our menu of creative offerings, but also it will allow us to complete the work under our own roof, eliminating all the logistical steps that come with scouting and booking studios in which to produce client content. In addition to a traditional green screen space, the studio will feature connected editing suites, multi-use animation bays, and gear that unlocks unrivaled XR abilities. In fact, the technology housed within our space is only available in a handful of studios nationally.

Cheers to the Next Chapter!

As LEO moves forward, we’re deeply grateful for our unrivaled teammates, our amazing clients, and every opportunity we’ve had to produce work that makes us proud. We can’t wait to see what happens next!
