2021 National Sale Meeting
The Future is Bright
Kowa Pharmaceuticals America partnered with LEO Events for the sixth consecutive year to produce its National Sales Meeting. Kowa’s 2021 NSM, aptly named “The Future is Bright,” served as the first opportunity for the company to address its sales team in over a year, and like many other pandemic-era events, was held virtually. The half-day virtual event featured a movie theater theme with a live, four-hour show, including multiple award presentations and General Session(s).
Companies are looking for increased engagement and intentional, meaningful ways to host virtual and hybrid events while maintaining high-level production value. Similarly, attendees want to experience the emotion and feel the energy of live recognition ceremonies across virtual platforms.
Challenge:
Recognition and award presentations are integral to Kowa’s company culture. The biggest challenge for the 2021 NSM was integrating the authenticity, energy, and excitement of live winner reactions into a virtual setting. To pull off the live winner reactions, LEO needed to get creative with our tech solutions.
Solution:
After experimenting with varying formats, methods, and budgets, we were able to deliver a professional, authentic recognition program that simulated a traditional in-person ceremony. This was accomplished by broadcasting live award presenters in a themed LED studio while simultaneously placing winners in greenrooms, which were separated by region. By utilizing a broadcasting system to showcase the winners live from their respective greenrooms, attendees were able to see authentic, live reactions from the winners.

2020 National Sales Meeting
Building the Future
Kowa Pharmaceuticals America united with LEO Events for the fifth year in a row to educate and celebrate its entire sales force during their annual National Sales Meeting. The theme for the 2020 NSM, “Building the Future,” served as the compass for all scenic expression from registration to environmental and on-screen graphics used throughout the event. The theme left a lasting impact, turning into a mantra for the sales force moving forward. Kowa Pharmaceuticals America united with LEO Events for the fourth year in a row to engage, educate, and celebrate its entire sales force at the 2019 National Sales Meeting. The theme for the 2019 NSM, “Engage and Elevate,” served as the compass for the conference, as guests were immersed in a Top Gun–inspired experience that included all of the necessary education and knowledge the meeting required. San Diego proved to be the perfect location, as it was where the iconic movie was filmed.
