2020 Ryder Cup

In 2021, LEO Events produced the 43rd Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony – the first LEO production broadcast on live television to a global audience.

The Ryder Cup is a biennial men’s golf competition between teams from Europe and The United States. Spanning 91 years and 42 competitions, the Ryder Cup is among the last great professional sporting events where winning, and not prize money, is the reward.

Hosted at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Sheboygan, Wisconsin along miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, the 2020 Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony took place on September 23 and was broadcast on Golf Channel and live streamed on an official website.

LEO created and produced an original video, narrated by NBC and Golf Channel’s Dan Hicks, that aired at the top of the ceremony. As fans and spectators watched on, the video explored a variety of themes, including the resilience of the United States and the community-first, spirited culture of Wisconsin. The video showcased the history and natural beauty of Whistling Straits and acknowledged the legacy of the Ryder Cup. The video ended with inspiring remarks from famed athletes, Green Bay Packers Quarterback, Aaron Rodgers; Milwaukee Brewers Pitcher, Josh Hader; and Milwaukee Bucks Forward, Giannis Antetokounmpo.
