At the 45th Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, reaching tens of thousands of fans with high-energy sound called for a PA system built for the scale and intensity of one of the world’s major live sporting events.
Technical Director Jim Dorroh and FOH Engineer & General Audio Lead Kelly Epperson, both longtime LEO Events freelancers, helped bring that vision to life for the PGA of America’s opening and closing ceremonies. With expansive coverage across nearly 270 degrees and more than 500 feet of audience area, the team deployed a Cohesion PA system engineered to provide consistent output, exceptional intelligibility, and full-frequency impact, come rain or shine.
From early-morning gate openings to high-energy DJ sets at night, the system helped set the tone for one of the most prestigious events in sport.
