Every year, the 4th of July brings Americans together to feast on hot dogs and barbecue, drink beer, witness colorful explosions in the sky, and celebrate the founding of the United States.

From sea to shining sea (or in our case, across the hills of Tennessee), there are some pretty amazing festivities happening. If you’re still in need of plans this holiday, check out these events going on in Nashville, Memphis and Chattanooga!

Nashville:

Let Freedom Sing: Nashville July 4th Fireworks @ 5th and Broadway & Ascend Amphitheater

A free event on Broadway and Ascend Amphitheater with kid friendly activities, food and craft vendors and live performances by Brett Eldredge, Mac McAnally, Jessy Wilson, and Dylan Scott.

Red, White & BOOM @ Adventure Science Center 6:15PM – 10:00PM

With a $25 – $39 ticket,enjoy the Adventure Science Center with hands-on science activities, live music, food trucks and tons of activities!

July 4th at Acme @ Acme Feed & Seed 

Enjoy all day fun for a $5 cover at Acme Feed & Seed! You won’t want to miss the Jazz brunch at 11:00AM and live music all day long. Get VIP rooftop access for $150 for a fantastic view of the fireworks show!

Music City Hot Chicken Festival (daytime event) @ East Park 

Nashville is known for its hot chicken and what better place to try it all than the FREE Music City Hot Chicken Festival! From 11:00AM – 3:00PM enjoy the best hot chicken around, cold beer and live music.

July 4th Party on the Rooftop @ Downtown Sporting Club 

Haven’t been to the new Downtown Sporting Club? Well,now’s your chance! This 21-year old and up event will allow you to watch the fireworks show from their rooftop above Broadway for $25. Party starts at 8:00PM and goes until Midnight.

Memphis:

Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular @ Mud Island River Park

If you’re looking to have a picnic or rent a kayak for $20, stop by Mud Island River Park. The event starts at 6:00PM and concludes with a firework spectatcular show at 9:15PM.

Peabody Rooftop Party @ The Peabody Hotel

For $10 general admission or $20 VIP ticket,watch the fireworks from the Peabody rooftop! The event will start at 6:00PM until 10:00PM with food, drinks and liveentertainment!

Stars and Stripes 5K @ Memphis Botanical Gardens

Want to attend a different kind of party and run for a great cause? Sign up for the Stars and Stripes 5K benefiting the American Red Cross starting at 7:00PM on July 4th. After the race, enjoy food and live music! Just pay $30 in advance to enter or $35 to register on race day.

Memphis Redbird vs Nashville Sounds Baseball Game @ AutoZone Park

What’s more American than celebrating 4th of July with America’s favorite past time? The game starts at 6:35PM at AutoZone park. Grab a beer, eat some peanuts and enjoy a post-game firework show!

Chattanooga:

4th of July 5k/10k @ Downtown Chattanooga

Run the streets of downtown Chattanooga on 4th of July! This virtual race starts at 1:00PM and when you sign up, 15% of your $20 registration fee will go to Homes For Our Troops.

Pops on the River @ Coolidge Park

Bring a blanket and a picnic to Coolidge Park for free music with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera – and of course, a dazzling firework show! The event will start at 5:00PM on July 3rd with fireworks at 9:45PM.

 Red, White and Zoo @ Chattanooga Zoo

Head over to the Chattanooga Zoo with all-day animal meet and greets, camel rides and $1 off admission if you come dressed in red, white or blue.

Chattanooga Lookouts Game @ AT&T Field

Head over to AT&T Field to see the Chattanooga Lookouts play the Jackson Generals. The game starts at 6:15PM on July 4th and will finish off with their post-game fireworks show! Admission starts at $6 for adults.
