In May, LEO Events was proud to partner with the United Way of Greater Chattanooga and the Emerging Leaders to promote art and learning with Red Bank Elementary School in Red Bank, Tennessee. LEO provided the canvases for students in grades K-4 to engage with and make their own art installs for the school. One of the projects consisted of one 8×8’ sintra board, complete with a removable decal. Students sponge painted a rainbow of colors filling up the board, and at the end of the event, the decal was peeled back to reveal the school’s Art Burst + RBES logos, accompanied by local sponsor logos. The second component was an 8-foot vinyl banner featuring the Chattanooga skyline as a coloring book for the students to color in and sign. Both pieces will be installed by the Emerging Leaders over summer break.

LEO’s Chelsea Beebe and Mackenzie Burysek teamed up to provide production in logistics and creative for the event, and to say it went off without a hitch would be an understatement. All 36 volunteer spots were filled, and the day was appreciated by all involved—volunteers, students, and teachers alike.

“The opportunity to promote Art Education and all around fun locally, especially with students, is a huge passion of mine,” says Chelsea, “The fact that LEO Events is always so willing to donate time, money and efforts to philanthropies in each of our cities is truly amazing, and the fact that art is our Chattanooga focus really just adds that much more meaning to the efforts in our community give-backs.”

“This was such a fun way to integrate LEO Events’ local philanthropy with helping kids in our community,” Mackenzie adds. “I loved seeing this idea come to life, and I think the students will be very excited when they return to school in the fall and see their artwork on display.”

Hannah Norman, Community Engagement Specialist at United Way of Greater Chattanooga adds, “Art Burst was such a great way for the Emerging Leaders to kick off our partnership with Red Bank Elementary this year! It was so fun to interact with the kids and encourage them to let their creativity flow. Art Burst would not have been possible without the support of LEO Events and their talented team who designed the art pieces.”

Thank you United Way, Emerging Leaders, and LEO staff for making this event such a great success.
