Giving back – it’s the best part of who we are. We’ve had the pleasure of working with some uber-famous people. We have gone to many insanely awesome places. We’ve thrown some of the world’s best events. But the thing we are hands-down most proud of is the work we’ve done that changes people’s lives. As a company, we believe in giving back, and the best way we can do that is to do what we do best to benefit the causes we love.

Throughout the years, we have volunteered time, donated in-kind, and supported, in a variety of ways, those organizations, charities, and causes that work hard to make a real difference in our communities. Some of those that mean a great deal to us are St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, National Civil Rights Museum, ArtsBuild and Sculpture Fields at Montague Park, Room in the Inn, and Jay Uiberall Foundation. LEO additionally sponsors two, young female athletes as they pursue their athletic goals and dreams.

The Jay Uiberall Foundation honors the legacy and memory of restaurateur and visionary Jay Uiberall by supporting and partnering with local youth and hospitality-industry organizations. The mission of JUF is to improve the lives of Memphians – primarily youth – by supporting programs that improve critical-thinking skills. JUF does this by making grants to nonprofit organizations that want to start new programs but lack the financial resources to do so.

JUF supplies over $90,000 annually in services to the restaurant and hospitality industry, including flu shots for uninsured restaurant employees, a yearly scholarship to the University of Memphis Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality & Resort Management, and funding for Knowledge Quest, a full-service culinary/prep kitchen where teens learn to grow and cook food as a trade.

The foundation is primarily funded through its annual golf tournament fundraiser, “Play for Jay,” as well as annual private and corporate donations. LEO Events Principals Cindy & Kevin Brewer are founders and board members of the Jay Uiberall Foundation, and LEO Events contributes more than 250 volunteer hours annually to the organization.

LEO Gives Giving back – it’s the best part of who we are.
