Position Summary:

Join the front line of agency-brand relationships, as we transform ideas into reality. The Project Manager (Event Strategy & Production), a new position at LEO, is a rare and unique opportunity to build a career in brand strategy, corporate communications, creative content, and event production, for some of the biggest names in business. The Project Manager is a key contributor who works closely with the SVP, Strategy and team members across functions to organize and ensure that Strategy as a service is available and implemented throughout the organization. This position is also responsible for day-to-day management and coordination of all Strategy department activities required for a variety of business development opportunities, marketing and communications initiatives, and live, hybrid, and virtual events.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solutions-oriented approach, drive the coordination of projects from start to finish, and enable Strategy as a service to thrive and grow. This position will manage and support the strategic process by:
  • Supporting the SVP, Strategy in organization and growth of Strategy as a service to clients and colleagues
  • Serving as liaison to ensure all departments and teams are supported
  • Taking an active role in bandwidth/capacity planning, cross-functional team alignment, and project scheduling
  • Generating and managing materials and information for use in the development and delivery of strategic solutions for the agency, brand, and client programs and initiatives
  • Overseeing departmental scheduling and coordinating tasks against project timelines
  • Curating strategic assets and content as they emerge and evolve
  • Owning the Strategy team’s project management board and time-tracking
  • Routinely communicating project status and clearly managing expectations
  • Maintaining organization, sharing, and distributing materials through email, Dropbox, and other forms of communication
  • Managing costs, freelance resources, and incidental spending as directed
  • Supporting ongoing development and expression of agency brand and identity
  • Researching and curating industry statistics, data, trends, and analysis
  • Embracing travel opportunities for learning and growth; occasional travel required
  • Working flexible hours at times
  • Jumping in and helping out – as part of our collective effort to deliver industry-leading results for LEO co-workers and clients

 

Qualifications:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in agency, production, corporate, or comparable business environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college, or equivalent experience
  • Degree in marketing, communications, or journalism a plus
  • Previous experience in at least one area of specialty, e.g., project management, event production, strategy, marketing, or communications

  • A motivated self-starter who embraces the opportunity to work independently and tackle other duties as assigned
  • Able to work within a group setting to support as needed, no matter how small the task or role needed to achieve a successful outcome
  • Able to self-manage priorities and handle numerous accounts/projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Dropbox, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, and other basic software; Adobe CS6, Keynote, and other graphic software a plus

 

Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands:

Employee required to spend a portion of time in a seated position looking at a computer screen. Employee will be required to do some standing and walking. Employee will be in a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
